Hour of Code is coming—and we're so excited for you to join us!
We have so much in store for this Hour of Code, celebrating its 10th year of inspiring students to try computer science. Join Code.org throughout Computer Science Education Week, December 5-11, 2022, as we celebrate progress of the computer science movement and strive to do more!
Expand access to CS at your school, win $10,000!
To help more students access computer science, especially students from underserved communities, we’re partnering with DonorsChoose to award $1 million to U.S. schools — that’s right, a MILLION dollars. As part of the 10th Hour of Code, one middle and high school in every U.S. state and D.C. will be awarded the CS Leaders Prize of $10,000 for increasing access to computer science education for their students. Learn more and enter to win by November 21, 2022.
Explore, play, create
This year, we want students of all ages to explore, play, and create with code. With computer science, we can do all sorts of awesome, inspiring, thrilling, and downright fun things.
- We’re exploring outer space (and traveling way back in time as we do)
- We’re helping athletes and teams improve their performance, making sports like soccer even more exciting
- And we’re creating art — from the weird and wonderful, to our most beloved music and movement
However your students want to explore, play, or create, encourage them to spend an hour trying computer science for themselves!
